Beautiful post. I, too, experienced PPD. My son is now 3.5. And I can so relate to what you described. Totally experienced that situation/feeling one too many times. Thankfully not in that space anymore, but I’d be lying if I said I still didn’t find myself looking at other Moms and thinking how do you do it. I think when you have an only that feeling is heightened, at least for me. Thanks for sharing! Always comforting to find my experience reflected in a piece of writing. Completely agree with you about having an only too! And also, sometimes I think...I know I couldn't do that, so I'm glad I only have an only! It's really hard not to compare but I think it's part of finding our own confidence in knowing that we know what we are doing is the best for our kids. =) Thank you for your kind words and I'm definitely feeling more excitement as school is starting soon!
